Terms of service

Plain-language terms for projects, hosting, management, and payments with BladeJohnson.

1. Services

We provide custom-coded websites, hosting, management, and optional photography/video. No page builders are used. Code is written in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and can be extended with APIs or Supabase integrations.

2. Ownership

You own your domain, DNS, and site files. We may manage them on your behalf. Access can be transferred on request. We avoid lock-in and keep code exportable.

3. Payments

Setup fees are charged once per project. Management fees are billed monthly. Online payments and links are only issued after scope approval; if online payments are paused, invoices or manual transfers are used instead.

4. Delivery windows

Starter typically delivers within 7–10 days. Growth and Pro timelines are confirmed per proposal. Delays caused by missing content or approvals may push delivery.

5. Management cancellation

Management plans are month-to-month and can be cancelled anytime. Hosting can continue at the hosting rate. When not subscribed, content or feature requests are billed hourly. If a refund is granted, the live site is removed, files are withdrawn, and access is revoked.

Admin fees when off-plan: DNS or domain transfers £35, file packaging £45, urgent changes £75. These cover handling and scheduling only.

6. Revisions

Each package includes a stated number of revision rounds. Additional revisions are quoted separately. Revisions cover design/content changes, not new feature builds.

7. Refund guarantee

If you request a refund after delivery, we will remove the live site, withdraw files, and revoke access to code repositories or hosting dashboards. Domains remain yours. Refunds are not offered after launch acceptance unless otherwise agreed.

8. Content & licensing

You confirm that any content, images, or footage you provide is licensed for use. Stock or media we provide is licensed for the site only unless otherwise stated.

9. Availability & support

Managed plans include priority responses during business hours. Critical uptime issues are handled as soon as possible. We communicate maintenance windows in advance.

10. Data & privacy

Contact forms are delivered securely (e.g., via Netlify). We do not sell data. See our privacy notice for details on cookies and tracking.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms. The latest version is always posted here. Material changes are communicated to active clients.
